100,000 Students and Counting: Thank You
A milestone we never take for granted. A reflection on the community that has made Noor-ul-Quran what it is — and what comes next.
This month, the number of people learning the Quran with Noor-ul-Quran passed one hundred thousand. We wanted to pause and say something that is easy to forget in the rush of shipping features: thank you.
A Number Made of People
One hundred thousand is not an abstract figure. It is a working mother in Toronto revising Surah Al-Mulk after the children are asleep. It is a university student in Jakarta correcting his pronunciation before Fajr. It is a retiree in Manchester who decided, at sixty-three, that it was not too late to begin.
Every one of those people chose to spend some of their limited time with the Book of Allah, and chose to do part of that journey with us. We do not take that lightly.
What You've Told Us
The most common message we receive is not about a feature. It is some version of: "I finally feel like I can do this." That sentence is the entire reason this project exists.
Your feedback has shaped nearly everything — the recitation correction, the reciter options, the offline reading, the word-by-word mode. Many of the best ideas in the app came directly from a single email from a single student.
What Comes Next
We are investing in deeper recitation feedback, better memorization planning, and tools that connect students to one another. The mission has not changed: to make a lifelong relationship with the Quran achievable for anyone, anywhere.
